The Song Of Your Name
Image: Iraj Jahanshahi on facebook |
the ants always say
we have so much to do
the grasshoppers know
Life works
without me and you
we aren’t here to do
as much as to see
to see how Existence
already works perfectly
is all this work necessary?
is it really much use?
or is it just an escape
a distraction, a ruse?
how long can we run
how far can we go?
there’s no place to run to
from ourselves, you know
what a glorious spectacle
He’s prepared for you
but you don’t look
and you don’t listen
you just do, do and do
stop, breathe, listen
to the song of your name
to pay it no heed
oh, that’d be a shame!
stop, breathe, listen
and you’ll hear it too
He’s calling your name
He’s waiting for you

How profoundly true these words are. More and more I understand the value of being rather than doing. hugs, pat
