God Grew You From His Spirit

God grew you 
from His spirit

radiant and pure 

and made you bloom 
in my life

suddenly

like flowers in the desert

grow enormous overnight

unfolding lifetimes

in short spells of rain

set me ablaze 
in an instant

like an endless forest

of bone-dry trees

that had known only thirst

had forgotten rain

and how to grow green

now lit up

in towering flames

that turn and grow

the wheel on my heart,

a door

for you to push open

enter and expand

so that one day

i may hold Him

here
