you won’t believe
i’m saying this
but, yes, it’s true
i implore you today:
do not be frivolous
and talk without meaning
like we have become
accustomed to do
let us walk instead
to the landscape
that begins
where words end
leave conversations
at the gate
enter the sacred silence
where we learn
from each other
how to be fragrant
again
