is sold nowadays
as this and that
in the marketplace
everywhere you go
someone sells you a lie
for the hole in your heart
only Love can fill
the most sublime
of gifts Divine
the reason and
very impulse of life
sold!
for less than a handful
of worthless coins?
all the words i learnt
thus sullied and spent
in the rush to buy
in the rush to sell
another mirage
another lie
at the bars
of the human prison cell
