Seer


it was the painful weight
i had carried for millennia
in my bones
that made me give up
this squalid, onerous desire
to be seen

i am no longer vying
with you
with those who have
the most interesting
things, chronicles
and diaries

with the wealthy 
and the clever 
the raconteurs
the useful, important ones
the ones with special blood
and spectacular names

i am like you
and everyone else
a spark
from the Cosmic Sun
a point of light
in an ocean of knowing

a motif within
a staggering
endless tapestry

nothing 
on its own

Everything
 when connected 
to its Source

and only when free 
of this desire
did i realize
there was never 
any need for it

i already am
what i always was:

the Seer, the Seeing
and the Seen
