drop of rain

from the depths of stillness
in utter
worshipful
amazement

i want to smile at you
to smile at you
pouring light
from an inner
inexhaustible source

i want to cradle gently
your weary body
your aching heart
in a blanket of kindness
and soothe you

and never have to ask
or answer the question
