Sing From Your Wilderness

don’t move

your voice precisely

and sing with

cold perfection,

like a lifeless instrument

that’s like serving dry bread

to someone

who’s walked the desert

for many days

without water

sing to me

from your wilderness

let me hear your darkness

calling out to Joy

break my heart

with the sound

of your heart

breaking

drench me

in your brokenness

your yearning

your Love
