Treasures Within

hand yourself over
to the One
who fashioned
your hidden genius

what better resting place
than the door of
the One
who gives you freedom
in exchange for becoming
His slave?

the great pretense of life
you cling to
is carved cleverly
from smoke

those demons you fear
to face inside your self
are animated
by your own desires

when you turn away
from that which bleeds you
you turn away
from your self

when you turn away
from your self
you turn away
from your own fruition

but if you only knew
oh! if you only knew

what treasures lie within

you would never again
hold out your hand
to anyone
but Him
